Mr Dobson is a Consultant Obstertrician & Gynaecological Surgeon and a one of only a small number of Royal College accredited Sub-specialists in Reproductive Medicine, IVF and Surgery. He works in both the NHS (Chesterfield Royal) and in private practise (IVF & The Park Hospital, Nottingham). Mr Dobson has presented his research internationally and published many scientific papers and book chapters, including on the topic of reproductive tubal surgery.
Reversal of Female Sterilisation and Fertility Care
As a Royal College accredited sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, and having been trained by the now retired internationally renowned reversal of tubal sterilisation expert Mr Clive Pickles, Mr Dobson is able to provide a comprehensive and holistic fertility service tailored to you and your partner before, during and after your reversal of female tubal sterilisation.
Mr Dobson is also happy to discuss and offer tubal surgery for post tubal ligation syndrome (PTLS), the removal of Essure devices, treatment of non sterilisation related tubal blockages and re-implantation of fallopian tubes.
In addition to tubal surgery, Mr Dobson can offer outpatient tubal blockage testing (Hysterosalpingo Contrast Sonography (HyCoSy)), ovulation induction, ultrasound scanning (for early pregnancy, fertility and general gynaecological care), IVF care and management of recurrent miscarriage.
Gynaecological Care
Mr Dobson is a British Menopause Society (BMS) accredited Menopause Specialist. He specialises in the management of the most troublesome and complex menopausal symptoms, including premature ovarian insufficiency (early menopause) and its related fertility complications. He is able to offer all types of HRT, including non hormonal and oestrogen/ testosterone implants.
In addition to the above, Mr Dobson is highly skilled in the treatment of pelvic pain, endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cysts, heavy menstrual bleeding problems, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), contraception, and prolapse.
Surgical Care
Whilst many problems can be treated conservatively or medically, sometimes surgery is required. If this is the case, you are in safe hands. In addition to sub specialist training, Mr Dobson has also completed an Advanced Diploma in Endoscopic (key hole) Surgery from the European society of Gynaecological Endoscopy.
