Reversal of Female Sterilisation and Fertility Care
As a Royal College accredited sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, and having been trained by the now retired internationally renowned reversal of tubal sterilisation expert Mr Clive Pickles, Mr Dobson is able to provide a comprehensive and holistic fertility service tailored to you and your partner before, during and after your reversal of female tubal sterilisation.
Mr Dobson is also happy to discuss and offer tubal surgery for post tubal ligation syndrome (PTLS), the removal of Essure devices, treatment of non sterilisation related tubal blockages and re-implantation of fallopian tubes.
In addition to tubal surgery, Mr Dobson can offer outpatient tubal blockage testing (Hysterosalpingo Contrast Sonography (HyCoSy)), ovulation induction, ultrasound scanning (for early pregnancy, fertility and general gynaecological care), IVF care and management of recurrent miscarriage.
Mr Dobson is a British Menopause Society (BMS) accredited Menopause Specialist. He specialises in the management of the most troublesome and complex menopausal symptoms, including premature ovarian insufficiency (early menopause) and its related fertility complications. He is able to offer all types of HRT, including non hormonal and oestrogen/ testosterone implants.
In addition to the above, Mr Dobson is highly skilled in the treatment of pelvic pain, endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cysts, heavy menstrual bleeding problems, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), contraception, and prolapse.
Whilst many problems can be treated conservatively or medically, sometimes surgery is required. If this is the case, you are in safe hands. In addition to sub specialist training, Mr Dobson has also completed an Advanced Diploma in Endoscopic (key hole) Surgery from the European society of Gynaecological Endoscopy. Examples of surgery offered include:
- Tubal surgery (Including reversal of tubal sterilisation)
- Endometriosis, Chronic pelvic pain & Adhesions
- Heavy Menstrual Bleeding
- Ovarian cysts
During his NHS practice he has been at the forefront of improving gynaecological services and has developed a plan of care for women seeking a reversal of their sterilisation so that high percentages of those women now go on to have babies as a direct consequence. Mr Dobson has taken over from Mr Pickles, having been trained in his exact procedure. It was Mr Pickles who had been performing this specialised reversal procedure since 1989 from the Park Hospital, Nottingham.
